Betaine is a natural and mild surfactant obtained from coconut. In your formulations it can be used as a primary surfactant or as a secondary surfactant. Betaine supports the viscosity of the emulsion.
For skin emulsions, the concentration of Beataine should be approx. 2%. For hair care products and shower gels at 3-5%.
